I. The Original Intention and Adherence.
On the morning of September 9, amidst the chilly autumn rain in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, Fang Aiqin, Chairwoman of the PROYA Foundation, along with the foundation team, company employee representatives, and 15 members of PROYA's charity ecosystem partners, visited Anhe Village's PROYA Hope Primary School in Xiyang Township to celebrate the 40th Teacher's Day with the teachers and students. The group went to the clean and tidy student and teacher canteen, which had just been renovated this summer. The canteen is fully equipped with various kitchen appliances, including large freezers and sample cabinets. Ingredients are stored in an orderly manner, and the staff were busy preparing a nutritionally balanced lunch.
Principal Su mentioned that now the children can enjoy hot meals at school every noon, a significant improvement from the previous situation where students could only eat dry buns. The parents are very pleased. "With the support of PROYA, the campus environment has continuously improved. We have established a kindergarten class, and in the fall semester of 2023, the kindergarten class saw a one-time increase of 15 children. With kindergarten students, we will have a stable source of students in the future. The number of students has also increased from 19 when I first started teaching at the school in 2019 to 30 now, with a peak of 35 students."
Chairwoman Fang Aiqin stated, "Seventeen years ago, the PROYA Hope Primary School marked the beginning of PROYA's commitment to public welfare, and now it's also a manifestation of PROYA's long-term philanthropic philosophy. PROYA will firmly support the development of Hope Primary Schools together with our charity ecosystem partners, making these schools places filled with love, respect, and growth, where every student can enjoy learning and grow healthily."
II. Connection and Innovation.
On the morning of September 11 at 7:00 AM, while the ancient city of Kashgar was still asleep, we began our westward journey to the second stop of this charity trip: Jigen Township Primary School in Wuqia County, the first school in China's westernmost region.
At 10:30 AM, in the newly constructed Dream Center classroom of Jigen Township Primary School, Fang Aiqin, Chairwoman of the PROYA Foundation, along with representatives of charity ecosystem partners, handed over the plaques for the "Love in the Frontier to Lighten up the Port" and "Dream Center" projects to the school representatives, marking the official launch of the project.
After the ceremony, everyone attended the dream experience class "Who to Go Somewhere Far Away With" and visited the Burumahan Maoleduo Patriotic Border Defense Museum.
In this PROYA public welfare journey, the company's internal employees actively responded to the call, donating books, toys, and other materials. At the same time, PROYA's long-term upstream and downstream ecological partners also actively participated. We hope to connect more philanthropic partners and compassionate individuals through this innovative model that transcends industries and regions, working together to contribute to the education cause in remote areas of our country.
