On September 5, 2024, coinciding with the ninth "Charity Day of China", the 2024 Hangzhou "Qiantang Charity Tide" Carnival, hosted by the Hangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, Hangzhou Charity Federation, and the Yuhang District Committee and Government, officially commenced. At the event, the inaugural "2024 Hangzhou Listed Companies ESG Strategic Philanthropy Influence Ranking" was innovatively released. PROYA, China Zheshang Bank, Hikvision, and other well-known Hangzhou-based listed companies were honored as part of the "Pioneer 20".
"The 2024 Hangzhou Listed Companies ESG Strategic Philanthropy Influence Ranking" selects 83 A-share listed companies within Hangzhou's administrative region that have released ESG (including social responsibility, sustainable development, etc.) reports for the 2022-2023 period as evaluation subjects. These companies are comprehensively evaluated based on factors such as strategic philanthropy, profitability, market value performance, and major risk situations. The release of this list aims to promote high-quality sustainable development of enterprises and contribute innovative strength to the construction of a new philanthropic system in Hangzhou.
Currently, integrating the ESG concept into corporate strategy and enhancing corporate social responsibility through strategic philanthropic activities have become a consensus among many publicly listed companies. PROYA is committed to a long-term approach in its charitable endeavors, upholding the vision of "gathering the power of love and making the world more beautiful". The company focuses on the development of education in remote and impoverished areas, promotes awareness of gender equality, and supports public welfare initiatives concerning the physical and mental health of vulnerable groups, women, and adolescents.
In its efforts to promote educational development, the PROYA Foundation has successively launched public welfare projects such as "PROYA Hope Primary School", "Love in the Frontier to Lighten up the Port", and "One County, One Dream" student sports literacy programs in regions including Fuyun County and Qiemo County in Xinjiang, Funing County in Yunnan, and Pingliang in Gansu. In exploring social innovation, the PROYA Foundation, in collaboration with the Xihu District Charity Federation and the Xihu District Women's Federation, has initiated the "Power of Beauty" women's care charity trust project. This project focuses on supporting women in difficult circumstances, helping them bravely face various challenges in work and life, and achieve self-worth and personal growth.
This recognition is a testament to PROYA's long-term commitment to and active practice of ESG principles and charitable actions. In the future, PROYA will further build and strengthen its ESG mechanisms, leveraging solid sustainable development management as a foundation to further promote and explore the organic integration of green production and philanthropy. PROYA aims to contribute to Hangzhou's efforts in creating a "nationally leading city-level philanthropic development ecosystem"!
