Recently, Global Authoritative Carbon Emission Rating Agency—Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) released the latest global corporate scoring. Proya responded to the Climate Change Program for the first time and was awarded "Grade B".
According to reports, the CDP scoring is broken down into four levels from highest to lowest: leadership A or A-; management B or B-; awareness C or C-, and disclosure D or D-. A B score indicates environmental management. Companies that score a B have addressed the environmental impacts of their business and ensure good environmental management. A B-score indicates that a company is showing some evidence of managing its environmental impact but is not undertaking actions that mark it out as a leader in its field.
Based on the scoring report, the "grade B" obtained by Proya is higher than the average result for companies in Asia ("grade C") and across the globe ("grade C"). Out of 11 breakdown categories, Proya excels by obtaining "grade A" in emissions reduction initiatives and low carbon products, far better than activity group average "grade C".
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international non-profit organization that was established in 2000. As one of the world's largest and most authoritative environmental data disclosure platforms, CDP aims to encourage and support businesses, cities, and local governments to disclose their information and data on climate change, water resource management, and forest conservation, thereby facilitating the global transition towards a low-carbon economy and sustainable development. Due to the alignment of CDP disclosure framework with the requirements of TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), CDP has become the world's largest environmental information database. CDP scores are widely used for investment and procurement decision-making while supporting the development of a zero-carbon, sustainable, and dynamic economy.
Proya has been prioritizing climate change management and has identified responding to climate change as an ESG materiality. The Board of Directors supervises and manages the Company's ESG issues, including climate change issues. Relevant functional and business departments integrate climate change management into their daily work priorities.
